Type 2290 and 2294
Types 2290 and 2294 are newly developed products which meet the requirements of EU standard EN 1717. The purpose of this new standard is to ensure consistent protection of drinking water quality. To this end, stricter requirements on the inspection and control of water system components have been introduced. Types 2290 and 2294 are based on Types 90 and 94 but have been equipped with inspection hole to facilitate component maintenance and repair.
Focus on future orientation and drinking water quality
JCH developed the new check valves to be ahead of the requirements of EN 1717, which will take effect in all European countries over the next few years. Initially, they will be mainly used for potable water installations as this is the area covered by the standard. The new check valves are pressed from dezincification-resistant brass. Types 2290 and 2294 are both available with internal thread connectors sized 3/8" - 2". Type 2294 is (like Type 94) available with screw connectors sized 12-28 mm.
